Chios is a crescent shaped island in the Aegean Sea, a short distance off the Turkish coast.  It is an island marked by its unique mastic gum creating a sweet scent throughout the air and its beautiful wildflowers – jasmine, wild tulips, orchids, iris, gladiola and other flora paint the landscapes, with different growths occurring throughout the course of the year.
