Rhodes is an island in the Greek peninsula, most famous for being the site of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.  It is the largest of the Dodecanese islands, a major tourist destination in the country.  The island is a foremost stop for many travelers in the cluster, who prefer to stay there for the wealth of activities that one can partake in.
