Santorini is a small group of volcanic islands about 200 km off the Greek mainland, as part of the Cyclades cluster.   It features unparalleled physical beauty, with a massive caldera surrounded by high cliffs on each side and an island prominently at its center.  With a colorful ancient history, the island is sometimes attributed to be the home of the lost civilization of Atlantis.

It is famous for its dramatic sunsets, fantastic views, and its very own active volcano.

Santorini has its own airport, with regular flights lasting around 30 minutes from and to Athens, as well as a few other European towns.  You may also arrive via the port of Achinios through ferries from Piraeus and Crete.  From there, you can use our Santorini map as guide to find your way through its glorious islands.
